| Abstract: | We study gluonic content of the pomeron and propose that the pomeron could be a reggeized tensor glueball ξ(2230) with quantum numbers IGJPC = 0+2++. This conjecture is examined in high energy proton-proton clastic scattering, and the calculations lend a favorable support to our physical idea. |
