This series consists of two groups of files on matters of particular importance to me when a member of the Colonial Administrative service, an executive officer working for the South Pacific Commission, or a researchers in Pacific Islands history on the staff of the Australian National University. A third group comprises correspondence relating to documentary source material on the Pacific islands, including lists of manuscripts on particular subjects, correspondence on the publication of other people’s work and copies of unpublished manuscripts by various research workers in Pacific studies.
