As part of forthcoming treatments for the Flora of Australia, available specimens of Hibbertia from the Kimberley, Western Australia, were examined. Among these was a specimen from Sale River that was clearly separable from all other species in the genus. This specimen is compared to its presumed close relatives and formally described here as H. hesperia T.Hammer. An identification key to all Hibbertia taxa currently known to occur in the Kimberley is presented.-
