Abstract: | Intercellular segregation during the transformation of liquid weld metal to solid δ-ferrite has been related to centreline cold cracking in high strength low alloy steel weldments. The initiator of the centreline cold cracking has been shown to be solidification cracking as previously hypothesised. |
